FROGGER 3D Company: Konami Release: September 20, 2011 ESRB: E (Animated Blood, Cartoon Violence) April 7, 2012 There is a ton of animated blood. Mainly because you keep getting run over because the game is impossibly hard. It took me 45 minutes to beat the first world, and I got squished dozens of times. And there is no classic mode, so the box is lying. There is a "forever mode" which has the same sprites as a classic mode would have, in which you keep going on forever, but there is no classic mode, even though the box says so. Anyway, about the regular game. It's divided up in stages like a Super Mario game. The goal is to get to the goal spot three times, each time in a different location. Sometimes there are super mega huge trucks that take up all four lanes of traffic and sometimes there's coins to collect, but mostly the game is stupid hard. The boss of Level 1 is a huge truck, bigger than the trucks you saw in the previous levels. The premise here is to push the spikes that randomly appear in the lane and blow out the tires of the truck. The trick is not to get squished by the truck AND after the truck goes by, a few cars go by really fast around the corner and you must avoid those, too. If this sounds really hard, it is. So hard in fact I found myself yelling at the 3DS, trying to make the game fair, but it had to be an ass and hate me. And the back tires are invincible, so you need to take out two tires on each side while steering clear of the tires and making yourself be under the truck (which is stupid because you get squished if you try to do this in a regular world.) So will I play this again? Probably not, due to the fact that most of the unlockables require an insane 1,000 coins! At the end of the first level, I only got 100. Add to the fact that there are only 6 worlds. So Konami made a real stinkburger here, and if I want to play Frogger, I'll go to my Atari 2600 thank you very much. Rating: 4/10
