RAYMAN ORIGINS Company: Ubisoft Release: Q4 2012 ESRB: E 10+ (Comic Mischief, Mild Cartoon Violence, Suggestive Themes) November 25, 2012 Lives? Who needs 'em? This platformer does away with them and instead offers great gameplay, and, what has become a standard with 2D Rayman games, great graphics. Although, with other Rayman games, you have to "learn" moves by coming across them. Like in the first level you gain the ability to have a fighting move by pressing X. There is also a way to make Rayman run (with the L and R shoulder buttons, much like Mario.) I haven't yet quite gotten the proverbial hang of the game yet, but it looks to be a blast once I fully understand what's going on, and what I've played so far looks and plays great, especially with the option of not being able to die and saving progress after every single level (listen up, New Super Mario Bros. series!) rating: 8/10
