STEEL DIVER Company: Nintendo Release: March 27, 2011 ESRB: E 10+ March 29, 2012 Well, it's been a year and I still haven't played Steel Diver, one of the launch titles, until now. I didn't think it was worth $40, so I got one used. Good thing I did, because this game is kinda boring and hard. The main objective here is to guide a submarine through various ocean water passages. There's two slide to control things, one for vertical and one for horizontal movement. Why? It would be a LOT simpler to use the joystick. But apparently they decided to make it even harder than it should be. The joystick does nothing. It's all controlled by the touch screen. I spent about nine and a half minutes on training mode, thinking that I didn't have to do anything. But there's a hidden objective the game doesn't tell you about: To get to the other side of the level. To do this, you fire torpedos a couple of times: One to break a boulder, and another to break a wall. Well, anyway, unless you happen to be a submarine pilot, this game went belly up. rating: 5/10
