SUPER MARIO 3D LAND Company: Nintendo Release: November 13, 2011 ESRB: E November 13, 2011 Well, I finally got a copy of it. Let me first state that at least it's a little bit harder than I anticipated. I lost two lives in the 2 out of 3 worlds before the first castle. But it's fun. The levels are fixed course but in 3D, so you get a mix of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 64-type play. Oh yeah, and the Tanooki Suit is back, although I couldn't figure out how to change into a statue. And there is a time limit, like in New Super Mario Bros. Also making the transition from New Super Mario Bros. to 3D is the flag pole at the end of the stages. The graphics are great in this game. There's this point in 1-3 where you have to fall down a long ways to platforms, and before you fall to what could be certain doom, you can see stuff in the horizon. I also saw some new enemies. One Piranha plant in 1-2 throws ink on the screen like the Blooper item in Mario Kart, which is really annoying because it was on a conveyor belt-type thing. So yeah, I recommend it, and it's really fun and all that, but imagine my disappointment when I pressed B and down on the joystick and didn't turn into a statue! rating: 9/10
