Bob's!

Bob's Burger Express was a staple in my diet as a kid growing up in Salem, right until the end, which was a sad day in 2001. I want a Big Brute and a large fry. People even older than me will remember Bob's as Bob's 19 Cent Hamburgers. What happened to Bobs' restuarants? The one at Lancaster Drive (not the mall location) turned into a Rock 'n' Rogers, and then became a bank. The one in South Salem is now a bank, and the one in Keizer is now a Carl's Jr. For those who still want a taste of the secret sauce, you're in luck: bottles of Bob's secret sauce, with the old circle logo on its label, is being sold at Roth's Fresh Markets.

In 2010, the Statesman Journal did a whole large article about Bob's, including an interview with the founder himself, Bob Corey, which you can view here.
