square one tv.
Back to Square One. Square One was an educational show created by the Children's Television Workshop (now named Sesame Workshop, presumably after their most famous creation.). It aired about 280 episodes in the late '80s and early '90s. It taught kids about math. Math isn't the greatest subject in the world as most kids know, so they tried to make it fun. I thought I'd try my hand at making an episode, so I've decided to bring the show back. Ripping the theme from a YouTube video, I made this opening for it. One more thing: No more Mathnet garbage. That was the most boring part of the show, and I turned it off when it started airing back when I used to watch the show when I was a kid.
opening for episode #601.
Episode #601 is complete! Since the video file is way too big to put on my website, I'm offering a free DVD of the episode I made. It's half an hour long and features:
+an "American Pie" parody (the song, not the movie) called "How High Is the Value of Pi?"
+explanation of square roots and binary numbers.
+pumpkin carving
...and more! Just e-mail me at atari2600land@yahoo.com with the subject line "Square One TV" and an address and I'll mail ya one.
